Mandy Mohrbach

Child Placement Coordinator

Welcome parents, guardians, and social workers!

Royal Family KIDS Camp is a one-week overnight camp for children 7 – 11 years old. All Royal Family campers have been victims of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Children in Armstrong County will be given first preference to attend however children in surrounding counties such has Butler, Indiana, and Westmorland are welcome to apply!

Your child will leave the parking lot of Living Water Church (now in the former First Church of God building on Woodward Avenue) in Kittanning on Monday morning and return Friday afternoon the week of camp. We travel to an ACA or CCA  certified camp facility within an hour away (the exact location is privately disclosed to legal guardians only for the campers' protection).

Swimming, canoeing, rock-wall climbing, nature walks, Bible stories, music and a variety of non-competitive sports and games will round out a program emphasizing wholesome activities and the building of positive memories. Evening activities will include a talent show, treasure hunt, a Birthday party, family game night, and jumbo bowling! The campers will be given a variety of opportunities to develop positive attitudes toward peers all while experiencing the great outdoors.

At camp we maintain at LEAST a 2:1 camper to adult ratio and a '2 deep rule' which requires 2 adults must be with campers at ALL times.  One camp counselor is assigned  two children in addition to many support staff, so your child will have individualized attention. All camp staff will be trained, interviewed, and have their criminal and child abuse histories checked before camp to ensure your child will be safe.
Below are two ways to apply-via paper form or online application.  Please complete the application and return it as soon as possible. Space is limited to the first 24 applicants this year. Your cost for the camp is $0-that is FREE. Once we receive your application and a Xerox copy of your child’s insurance I.D. card, we will send you a letter confirming your child’s place and a list of suggested items to bring to camp (also below).
If you have any questions, please call us at 724-951-2012. We are looking forward to a great week at camp!
Sincerely,
Tyler and Kim Luke,
Directors
